How to Use Just Meditate

Open the app, tap or click to begin, and meditation starts. That's it!

But there are a few helpful tricks to customize your practice.

Use hashtags in the address bar

By default, Just Meditate picks a random meditation for you.

But you can choose the length or type by adding a hashtag to the URL:

By Duration

Use #minutes to set the length of your session:

justmeditate.com/#5 for 5-minute meditations

justmeditate.com/#10 for 10-minute meditations

By Type

Use #keyword to choose a type of meditation:

justmeditate.com/#breath for breathing meditations

justmeditate.com/#nidra for yoga nidra

justmeditate.com/#metta for loving kindness meditations

justmeditate.com/#nature for nature soundscapes

You can bookmark your favorite URLs for quick access to specific meditation lengths or types.

During Your Meditation

Before you begin, you'll see an emoji and description showing how long the meditation will be:

🍃 a quick reset — 5 minutes

🌳 a mindful break — 10 minutes

🧘 a proper sit — 15-20 minutes

⛰️ a full sit — 30+ minutes

Want a different meditation or to start over?

Simply refresh the page and we will randomly pick another meditation from your current filter or from all meditations by default.

Pause & Resume

To pause/resume your meditation, simply tap/click anywhere or press any key.

Offline Use

After your first visit, Just Meditate works completely offline. We save 3 random meditations on your device so you'll always have something available, even without internet.
